IT HAS BEGUN: Stronghold Youth Foundation!!

Paperwork has submitted, waiting on official approval but we’re hitting the ground… SPRINTING! And I don’t run.

Pinch me again, somebody… Because after YEARS of waiting, praying, hoping, waiting some more… This little idea of a nonprofit has FINALLY come into fruition. And I still can’t believe it.

For those who don’t know, Stronghold received $10,000 from US Bank from a grant in 2011. They asked us what we would do with it and we shared our story of offering Jiu Jitsu to kids who couldn’t afford it. It spiraled into sponsoring over 300 kids for over a decade. In 2017, we had the opportunity of launching a nonprofit and it unfortunately failed. We didn’t give up, I worked on countless fundraisers and projects to keep it going without the nonprofit status and I didn’t have the finances or bandwidth to officially get one.

Until this year. I have been blessed with an amazing new admin and operations team at Stronghold and friends, we move FAST, and I’m so grateful. I did this alone for so long, and I had family and friends who told me to stop working so hard before I would lead to burn out and health decline, all things that have happened over the years.
